‘Midnight’ forms a dense clump, reaching 30 to 35 cm in height and 40 to 45 cm in width, with lobed leaves of a deep black with purple reflections depending on the light. In spring and summer, it produces fine silvery flower stalks bearing small cream or pinkish bells, which rise above the foliage, adding lightness and delicacy without obscuring the beauty of the foliage. It pairs perfectly with silver, green, or colored foliage to create striking contrasts in beds and planters.

Cultivation and care

Easy to grow, Heuchera Forever® ‘Midnight’ prefers partial shade to sunny exposure, with light, well-drained and fertile soil. It tolerates more sunny exposure if the soil remains cool and well-watered. Very hardy (down to -25 °C), it requires little maintenance: remove dry or damaged leaves in spring to stimulate new growth. Suitable for contemporary, natural gardens or decorative containers, it maintains its appeal throughout the year thanks to its evergreen foliage.
