Hibiscus ‘Perfect Storm’: Spectacular blooms with intense color
The Hibiscus syriacus ‘Perfect Storm’ is a striking ornamental shrub, renowned for its large, deep purple and crimson flowers, which provide an elegant contrast with its dark green foliage. Very free-flowering and hardy, it instantly transforms borders, hedges, or isolated areas into true floral masterpieces.
Ideal for adding color and volume to the garden, it combines aesthetics, hardiness, and ease of maintenance.
Generous and elegant flowers all summer long
‘Perfect Storm’ produces spectacular flowers 8 to 12 cm in diameter, with intense and deep tones, often accented by a darker center. Its flowering extends from July to September, renewing flowers daily for a continuous and abundant effect.
Its dark green foliage, dense and glossy, highlights the flowers and remains decorative even out of bloom.
Cultivation and care
This hibiscus prefers sunny to semi-shady exposure and cool, fertile, well-drained soil.
Water regularly in summer and during hot weather, and maintain an organic mulch to retain moisture and protect the roots. Pruning is done in early spring, by removing dead or damaged wood, and lightly shortening branches to stimulate flowering.
Very hardy (down to –20 °C), ‘Perfect Storm’ is resistant to common diseases and adapts to most gardens.
