Cultivation and care

Easy to grow, Ligularia przewalskii thrives in rich, fresh to moist soils and partial to full shade exposures. It tolerates full sun only if the soil remains consistently moist. During hot periods, regular watering prevents its large leaves from temporarily wilting. Very hardy (down to -25 °C), it establishes itself permanently and requires little maintenance: remove faded flower stalks and cut back the foliage at the end of the season.
