About the Position

Centre Jardin Cloutier Botanix is looking for an outdoor plant sales advisor to assist customers with the selection, planting, and maintenance of outdoor plants (trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, vegetable gardens, etc.).

This position is primarily focused on customer service and advice, in a seasonal, dynamic, and mostly outdoor environment.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Service and Advice (priority)

• Greet customers and offer personalized advice
• Recommend plants based on exposure, soil, hardiness zone, and needs
• Explain planting, watering, fertilizing, and maintenance techniques
• Suggest complementary products (soil, fertilizers, amendments, mulch)

Merchandising and Maintenance

• Participate in basic plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, monitoring)
• Ensure an attractive and organized presentation of the nursery
• Maintain cleanliness and order in outdoor sections

Collaboration and Support

• Collaborate with yard, drive-thru, and cash register teams
• Refer customers to the right services or departments as needed
• Perform related tasks as needed based on traffic

• Strong interest in outdoor plants and gardening
• Excellent sense of customer service
• Ability to communicate clearly and simplify information
• Autonomy, organization, and team spirit
• Comfortable working outdoors

Requirements

• Availability for a variable and seasonal schedule
• Sales or horticulture experience (an asset)
• Horticulture training or equivalent experience (an asset)
